My next steps to improve are: I need to add more detail to my work and also talk about magazine conventions and codes.

One way my media product reflects the genre theories is through Steve Neals repetition and difference theory an example of this is how my magazine takes conventions from other and applies them to mine for example the way the font and the colour of the magazine whereas the difference is with the actual content of the magazine as very little magazines talk about the underdogs in the rap game making my magazine incredibly unique as it gives them a chance to gain some spotlight. Another genre theory that this magazine reflects is Jason Mittell's industry uses genre commercially the reason for this is because Mittell states that "Genre is a way of exploiting an audience who enjoy certain types of representation and content " e.g. look at reality TV shows. The way the magazine does this is by exploiting fans of rap music to buy the magazine as they might want to learn of more artists and doing this means that more people will be exposed to these unknown rapper which will give ...
